ODHA spokeperson, Omole escapes assassination attack

Ondo State House of Assembly member representing Akoko South West 1 Constituency, Akogun Olugbenga Omole narrowly escaped death in Akure yesterday.

Omole who is the spokesperson of the State’s parliament said his car was shot at multiple times at the heart of Akure.

While narrating his experience, he said he received strange calls shortly before the gunshots.

“I received three strange calls shortly after releasing a press statement on the proceedings of the House yesterday. This was still not making sense until I was attacked. Now, I understood why those calls came. I was definitely being targeted”.

The attack left his official car riddled with bullets, but he was unhurt.

While thanking God for sparing his life,  Omole remarked that his life is not in the hands of any mortal.

” I am God’s project and no one can stop God’s project. Whoever is behind this should remember that” ,he concluded.

According to him, law enforcement agencies are already on the case and has assured that justice will be served.
