ODHA’ll replicate Google digital training in LGs – Borokini

Ondo State House of Assembly will replicate Google Digital Training in the eighteen local Government area, of the state.

This was disclosed by a member, representing Akure  Constituency 1, Mr Toluwani Borokini at the closing ceremony of the summer coaching he organized free of charge to students in his constituency.

Borokini who said education is the engine room of reform of any nation, said there is  need to invest in it ,not in the curricular courses alone but in skills and google digital training that will prepare them for the future.

According to him: ” I think it would go a long way,if you have seen the way we ran the summer school. Apart from teaching the normal curriculum in the summer coaching ,they learnt to make some things like bags, sandals, how to use Ankara to make their textbook covers.

” And in the course of the training we brought abstics technology to teach digital skills and graciously, the Speaker Ondo state  House of Assembly who has made us the chairman committee on Education, Science and Technology has said that the training be taken round the 18 local government areas of the state and very soon ,we will be having the Google Digital Skills across  all secondary schools in the state,” he stated.

While admonishing the students, he said the future belongs to those who create it, and the time to create it is now, saying that if they do not take their future in their hands now, others will create it for them .

He said” have a dream,work at it ,work hard, be honest, though it won’t be easy but it will work well later”.

Earlier, Special Assistant, Political, to the Commissioner for Education,Science and Technology, Mr Yomi Akinrimade, who represented the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Femi Agagu, commended the organiser of the summer coaching, describing it as a relevant programme.

He stated that the governor has been calling on stakeholders to support the sector to enhance the standard of education, which the organiser has done.

The commissioner therefore called on other stakeholders to emulate him.

A parent, Mrs Akerele Bimbo, thanked the organisers for such a laudable programme which she said has impacted on her two childreAAAAn who were ordinarily lazy but during the summer lesson has changed greatly.

Also a teacher, Mrs Akintimehin Oluyemisi  enthused that the coaching has brought students from different school together to learn and study under the same teacher thereby, fostering love and unity.

She admonished them to keep what they have learnt and make use of it,when they resume.

The Lawmaker gave  scholarship awards to students who distinguished themselves in the Summer Coaching.

Gifts items were equally presented to student who did well during the test conducted after learning and teaching.
