The sworn-in Executive Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Taiwo Adegoroye, has promised to focus on agriculture as a key driver of economic growth in the area.

Adegoroye made this known while speaking with our correspondent recently.

He reaffirmed his commitment to making agriculture a cornerstone of Odigbo’s economy, ensuring food security, job creation, and economic empowerment for residents.

Recognising the challenges faced by farmers, Adegoroye emphasised the need for farm security, promising to implement measures that will safeguard lives, farms, and properties within the local government.

“I am poised to drive sustainable development and position Odigbo as a model for agricultural excellence in the state.

“My vision aligns with the directive of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who charged all 18 local government chairmen to prioritise food restoration as a crucial agenda for development.”

He, however, pledged to govern with accountability, sensitivity, and transparency, protect the interests of the people, and justify the trust placed in him.
