Odigbo LG boss tasks Obas on security

The Caretaker Chairman, Odigbo Local Government of Ondo State, Alhaja Dupe Rafat Ahmed, has tasked traditional rulers in the area to take security of their domains seriously.
Ahmed, who spoke in Ore restated the government’s commitment to ensure security of lives and property of the people of Odigbo through the cooperation and support of the traditional rulers as well as the people of the area.
She explained that a peaceful environment attracts development from both government and private organizations, adding that she remained committed to improving the peaceful coexistence in the local government and the state in general.
She urged leaders at all levels to brainstorm and always be apostles of peace and progress in order to continue the developmental drives of the state government under Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN.
“I am committed to the development of Odigbo local government and the state in general.”
The council boss thanked the security agencies in the area for their professionalism and urged them to do more in securing the lives and property of the Odigbo Odigbo.
She restated government commitment to engage youths so as to turn around the economic fortunes of the state for the prosperity of all.
“An idle hand is a devil’s workshop. So, the government would continue to engage youths in the area positively to reduce crime.
“The security agencies must be civil in their dealings and also join hands with the traditional rulers to ensure peaceful society. We must all have same goal to achieve this,” she explained.
