ODIRS assures local newspapers of patronage

Chairman, Ondo State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Tolu Adegbie has assured members of the State Community Newspapers and Magazines of its patronage to boost the socio-economic activities of the state.
The Chairman gade this assurance while welcoming some of the publishers of the local newspapers who visited him to seek patronage of their publications in Akure, the state capital.
He stated that, patronising the local newspapers in the state would bring a synergy between the government and the publishers, as well as improve the economic situation of the publishers that aligned with the government activities.
Adegbie sought their cooperation with government by educating the public especially at the grassroot level, about their civic responsibility in tax payment to the government, so that they could enjoy more dividends of democracy.
While speaking on behalf of other publishers, the publisher of Sunshine Standard Magazine who also doubled as the Chairman, Ondo State Association of Local Newspapers, Mr. Daisi Adetarami pledged their support to showcase the activities of the present administration, especially the infrastructural projects to the people.
This, he said would go a long way in educating the citizens on what government is doing and its future plans to alleviate poverty and bring development to their door steps through infrastructural development and the need for them to pay tax at the appropriate time.
Adetarami appreciated the government for its infrastructural development projects put in place across the 18 local government areas of the state and pledged their support to the government.
