The Joint Tax Board (JTB) has commended the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) for setting an enviable pace in tax collections.
The board team leader, Mr. Amos Oduleye declared this during a meeting with the Single Inter-State Road Tax Sticker (SIRTS) and Single Haulage Fee (SHF) vendors at the Learning Centre of the ODIRS, Akure, the state capital,

While appreciating the Executive Chairman of ODIRS for his notable efforts in the tax space, he noted that keying into the harmonized mobile stickers in Ondo State is also another evidence that ODIRS is audacious in the area of tax collections.
He implored the participants to share experiences to ensure feedback as the major essence of the engagement is to come down to the people who are directly in charge of the operations.

It would be recalled some months ago that Ondo State Government launched its 2023 joint mobile advert/Single Inter-State Road Tax Stickers (SIRTS) for commercial vehicles in the State through the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS).
The new harmonised Single Inter-state Road Stickers with verifiable QR code system is the product of a mandate by the Joint Tax Board, based on the Personal Income Tax of 2004, to harmonise all taxes in Nigeria and make payment easy for motorists.
Executive Chairman of Ondo State Internal Revenue Service, Mr Tolu Adegbie said the meeting is to re-evaluate the progress of the single mobile advert sticker since its commencement and to also look at the Single Haulage Fee(SHF) initiative.

He stated that the ODIRS, JTB, and the consultant teams are ready to listen to and provide appropriate answers to all the challenges and issues the vendors might have encountered concerning the SIRTS .
In his word: “ODIRS will be attending to all issues that might have emerged as a result of this Single Inter State Road Tax Sticker and also we have invited JTB, the consultant of the project to also give update and answer all questions that will be raised here today”.
A Lead Consultant, Mr.Kunle Araoye also appreciated ODIRS for its achievements in revenue generations and for keying into SIRTS operations.
