Speaking at the official distribution in Akure, the State Chairman of the State Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Abibullahi Akinpelumi who was represented by his Vice Chairman 2, Alhaji Waidi Fadola said the distribution was done simultaneously in the three senatorial districts of the state.

Akinpelumi stated that each of the packages contains food items like rice, beans, Garri, palm oil, groundnut oil, semovita, packet of cube sugar, salt and maggi worth about N20,000.
According to him, the MESH i.e Education, Social and Health Mission, donated the food items to support the most vulnerable ones to enable them have a sense of belonging during the Ramadan season.

The State Amirah of FOMWAN, Alhaja Medinat Omikunle in a brief chat with journalists, said FOMWAN only collaborated with the ODSCIA to ensure that the packages were well distributed to those they were meant for, stressing that the programme was not FOMWAN’s programme “but we’re directed to implement the initiative of the donor.”
