ODSFA bOSS mourns NNL Chairman

The Chairman of the Ondo State Football (ODSFA), Otunba Tajudeen Akinyemi has expressed grief over the sad demise of Enugu FA Boss, Chief Chidi Ofo Okenwa.

According to a  release made available to newsmen by the Sunshine Stars Madda Officer, Chris Okunnuwa “Okenwa who was the Chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL) died Yesterday morning after a brief illness, to the surprise of virtually all football associates in Nigeria.”

Reacting to the sad development Akinyemi said: “This is a regrettable loss, personally I am deeply hurt; we were very good friends. Okenwa was a very loving man that contributed immensely to the growth of the Nigerian game.

“On behalf of ODSFA and Sunshine Stars I commiserate with his family, Enugu FA, NNL, the NFF and all his other accomplices in Nigerian Football. May Allah grant his soul eternal repose.”_ Akinyemi added.

Okenwa was also a serving EXCO member of the NFF until his death.
