Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Environment, Mr. Oyeniyi Oseni has emphasized the need for every industry springing up in the state to ensure the necessary Environmental Impact Assessment before citing such industry.
Oseni gave the charge at a stakeholders’ meeting with the people of Ode Aye and Omotosho communities of Okitipupa Local Government.
He government is always ready to encourage industrialists wishing to establish in Ondo state but must be ready to comply with the laid down environmental protection procedure. .
The Special Adviser also enjoined host communities to ensure peaceful coexistence with the entrepreneurs.
The Administrative Secretary of OSEPA, Princess Korede Giwa had earlier in her welcome remarks, said the agency is saddled with the protection of environment.
The Halu of Ode-Aye, Oba Williams Akinmusayo Akinlade commended the Akeredolu led administration for its efforts to transform Ondo state in all spheres.
He reiterated the resolve of Aye community to maintain peaceful coexistence and called for more industries in Ode Aye.
The youth leader of Omotosho, Comrade Juwa Duro said the community is feeling positive impact of WeeWood Industry in their area.
He specifically thanked the industry for providing them with drinkable water, medical and scholarship.
