ODSG begins promotion for health workers

The Ondo State Teaching Hospital has commenced 2021 promotion exercise for workers transferred from HMB .
Speaking during the maiden promotion exercise organised by the Teaching Hospital in collaboration with the Department of Establishment and Training, Office of the Head of Service and Ondo State Civil Service Commission, Chief Medical Director of UNIMEDTH, Dr. Oluwole Ige emphasized that excellent performance will drive the promotion interview.
He said this will provide qualitative clinical and medical services, also to raising of professionally competent personnel in the discipline of medicines and health related services in the state.
Ige who was represented by the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), Dr. Micheal Gbala enjoined eligible officers to observe COVID-19 protocol the exercise, saying there were provisions of water and sanitizers.
The CMD, lauded the effort of Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for deeming it necessary to allow 2021 promotion exercise despite the dwindling national economy.
Dr. Ige explained that personnel transferred from HMB to teaching hospital since 2019 were the only eligible workers that would participate in the exercise.
Earlier, Dr. Moses Adewole of Training and Development, had declared that 160 personnel will participate in the 2021 promotion exercise.
He advised them to get prepared for higher responsibilities as they advanced their career with teaching hospital.
