The Ondo State government has promised to provide more basic and social amenities for the betterment of the citizens in the state.
The State Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa made this known at the commissioning of Interchange bridge and 14 boreholes in Ore, and neighbouring communities of Odigbo Local Government area of the State.
Other projects commissioned included; a multimillion naira Aketi Bridge in Ore, 11 boreholes 1 across each political wards, a solar electrification system and general painting of Odigbo Local Government Secretariat.

Aiyedatiwa, who was represented by Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro maintained that citizens would continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy since the present administration is committed to provide an enabling environment for business to thrive.
He said that provision of basic and social amenities is a top priority of governor Akeredolu’s led administration, having noticed that Odigbo was predominantly occupied by farmers and business owners already known as economic hub.
He noted that several achievements recorded so far in the state by Akeredolu’s led-government would ever remain indelible as some of them aid in abating crime which could be traced down to the establishment of Ondo State Security Network, Amotekun Corps in efforts to flush out criminal elements in the state to better security of life and properties of citizens.
The Chieftaincy Affairs Commissioner who commended the people of the state for their selfless services to the development of the State, therefore urged citizens of the State irrespective of their religion and political divides not to renege in supporting the state government in its socioeconomic blueprints as intended by the present administration.
Also speaking, The outgoing executive chairman of Odigbo local government, Deaconess Margret Akinsuroju explained that despite a bulky debts and bad economic inherited from past administration, the Akeredolu led administration has made to pay worker’s salaries and other arrears up till date.
Speaking on the cost of the newly commissioned projects, Deaconess Akinsuroju further stated that for such laudable achievements to continue, residents of the State need to contribute their quotas by paying their tax and other legitimate dues to Ondo State government through its agency as at when due.
