ODSG committed to hygienic environment

The Ondo State Government has expressed its commitment to ensure safer and hygienic environment in and around Ore market.
Special Adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Mr. Olatunji Ifabiyi said this in Ore during an inspection tour of the market. He said that all illegal structures in the market would be pulled down.
He said that the state government decided to take the measure to ensure that sanity was restored to the market.
Ifabiyi said that government would not condone disorderliness and unhygienic activities in the area.
According to him, “People must engage in economic activities under convenient and conducive environment.
The special adviser disclosed that the visit was to sensitise the traders on hygienic environment, adding that it would no longer be business as usual.
Ifabiyi, who implored the traders to pay up what they owed for the lock-up shops and ‘ensure the market area is always clean’, promised to revisit the market with task force personnel in a bid to restore sanity to the environment.
Also, Special Assistant to the Governor on Market Matters, Mr. Raji Sikiru urged traders and stakeholders to take care of the market, adding that the government would fast track the rehabilitation of the market.
Responding, the Babaloja of Ore Market, Chief Temitope Ijimiga lauded the state government for its noble plans to develop the market.
Also, Iyaloja of the market, Mrs. Eniola Ogunlana advised traders to cooperate with the task force officers to fast-track the development of the market.
