About 100 hectares of land have been earmarked as an estate for civil servants in Ondo State, providing them with opportunities to become land and homeowners.

Those who purchase it will also receive assistance in accessing development opportunities to facilitate the process.

The General Manager of the State Development and Property Corporation, Michael Amure, made this statement while hosting the State House of Assembly Committee on Lands and Housing during their visit to the Corporation in Akure.

While presenting their activities, challenges, and achievements to the committee members, Amure informed them that the corporation is responsible for providing housing for the people.

He mentioned that the 100 hectares, located at Ilu Abo in Akure North, will not only provide housing but also foster development in the area.

He noted that they were collaborating with development firms to create more property in the state.

Amure stated that part of their new initiative includes constructing structures at affordable costs to ensure all lands are developed.

In addition to housing, OSDPC generates revenue from land sales, making assets attractive to people and encouraging them to acquire land, build on it, and reside in developing areas they may have previously overlooked.

The GM expressed appreciation to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to providing shelter for the people, assuring the corporation’s readiness to collaborate closely with the legislature to develop the state.

In response, Chairman of the Committee, Biola Oladapo, commended the Management of OSPDC for their proactive and innovative approach to providing shelter for the citizens.
