Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu yesterday officially presented a unit of brand new Innoson 33-seater bus (IVM 600) to Sunshine Stars FC for the comfort of the players and their officials.

Presenting the bus to the management of the ODSFA at the Governor’s Office group, Akeredolu commended the management of the team for making the state proud despite the lean resources at their disposal.

The governor particularly lauded the players and their officials for keeping the state flag flying in their matches and encouraged them to do more to make the state proud.

“We are not clear of where we are for now but we are determined that we are going to be at the top of the league this season”.

According to the ODSFA Chairman, Otunba Tajudeen Akinyemi, this gesture from the government will serve as a means of motivation for the team.

While Sunshine Stars’ technical adviser, Kabiru Dogo, said this gesture is a sign of success for the team.

On his part, the captain of the team Sunday Abe, added that the team appreciated the current government for the promise fulfilled, saying they have been craving for the bus for a very long time.

“They should count on us, we will not let them down, and we will continue to give our 100 percent commitment to do the state proud”.
