ODSG returns garden practice to pry schools — SUBEB

Ondo State Government said it will fortify primary schools across the eighteen local government areas to engage in active ”garden activities”
This was one of the lined up plans unveiled during the management meeting held at SUBEB office in Akure.
According to Permanent Secretary of the Board, Mr Dele Akinnagbe who headed the meeting, government will support primary schools to utilize vacant land in their respective schools to practice gardens like in the olden days applying the modern trend.
The Director, School’s Services SUBEB, Mr Balogun itemized the practice to include planting of vegetables, yams, cassava, fishery and snail rearing.
Mr Balogun said some primary schools have started the practice urging others to emulate.
Meanwhile, training of primary school teachers to strengthen the teaching of mathematics and other science related subjects has commenced across the three senatorial districts of Ondo State
