ODSG succours victims of Omolege attack

Ondo State Government has handed over relief materials to victims of gunmen attacks that occurred recently in Omolege community.

The Government during the hand over, said the relief materials were  meant to cushion the effect of the attack on the victims .

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu  who spoke through the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Deputy Governor, Mr Gbenga Akingbasote said government will continue to prioritize the welfare of the people in the state.

He urged the local government Chairman, Mr Dennis Adekunle who received the relief items to ensure that the materials get to the intended victims of the attack in the community.

Responding, Mr Adekunle appreciated the governor for the gesture and the attention given to the matter.

Adekunle said the gesture showed that the governor is a man of his words and fulfilled his promise when he paid the community a visit.

Some of the relief materials distributed are; food items, mattresses, mosquito nets, disinfectant  among others.

In his reaction, the  Akarigbo of Ute Land, Chief Felix Olabode, expressed gratitude to  Governor Akeredolu (SAN) the kind gesture.”

The government has been working non stop  ever since he came to see what we went through.

“His action has eased the sickness in my body because as at when he came, I was unable to see him. Now I have smiles on my face because my people are happy due to Mr Governor’ s kind gesture.

“I also want to thank the security agencies for the wonderful work they have been doing to ensure these people do not come back to our land.

“I will like to urge the people of Ose share more love to each other as well as being truthful. When they see strangers’ faces they should make sure they know where it came from. We must not work against the government of the day.

The Kabiyesi encouraged the youth to always work hand in hand with the security agencies on ground to enhance adequate security.
