ODSG to construct 100 classrooms, returns AUD Mega School

Ondo State Government will construct not less than 100 classrooms and renovate public schools in the State as part of the 2023 action plans of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-led administration to make all schools across the State conducive for teaching and learning.

The government has also approved the relocation of the pupils and Staff of Ansar-ud-Deen, AUD, Caring Heart Mega Primary School, Oke Agbe, back to their original buildings.

The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Victor Olabimtan, disclosed this during a courtesy visit by the Executives of the Ansar-ud- deen, AUD, Society of Nigeria, Ondo State chapter.

The State Government had released the school property to the foremost citadel of learning in the State, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, as part of plans to expand its facilities and develop the school.

Speaking on the development, Olabimtan said the government took the decision in the best interest of the pupils and most importantly because AAUA had not used the facilities.

The Ondo SUBEB Head added that government would renovate and furnish AUD Mega School with the necessary facilities.

While commending the cordial relationship between Muslim and Christian Communities in the State, the former Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly underscored the advantages of teaching western curriculum and Islamic education in Muslim schools to make the education of the pupils and students more holistic.

According to him, “To ensure that Quranic Schools in the State deliver on their mandate, the State government has commenced their registration with not less than 180 registered and given grant yearly to upscale their facilities”.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the Society, Alhaji Rabiu Abdul Olasoji, commended the state government for the initiative.
