Ondo State Government in conjunction with the National Centre For Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM), Ilorin have concluded plans to organize a FARMERS FIELD DAY on Agric Mechanization in Akure.
This was contained on a press statement released by the press officer to the Ministry of Agriculture which was made available to The Hope yesterday in Akure.
The event, according to the release is schedule to take place on Thursday at the premises of Ondo State Agricultural Development Program ADP Alagbaka will feature exhibition, demonstration and promotion of Agricultural Mechanization Facilities for Yam, Rice, Maize, Cassava and Oil Processing Machines for South West Nigeria.
According to the Programm Manager of ADP in Ondo State Sola Adeniyan the event which will be declared open by Ondo State Governor Arakunri Oluwarotimi Akeredolu provides a veritable opportunity for farmers and processors to have first hands experience in the best practises Agricultural Mechanization.
Adeniyan said that in addition to the Commissioner for Agriculture Adegbiyega Adefarati who is the Chief host, the Executive Director NCAM Engr Dr Yomi Muyideen Kasslia is being expected as the host.
Others are all the accounting officers of the Agriculture related Agencies in Ondo including those of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development are expected at the one day event.
