The Ondo State government has warned youths and miscreants in the state to have a rethink or face the full weight of the law.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo handed down the warning when he visited the scene of an unfortunate accident that claimed two lives at NEPA roundabout area in Akure, the State capital
It would be recalled that the ill-fated accident occurred at the weekend when an Okada man carrying a passenger, rammed into a stationery Tipper and died on the spot.
Angry Okada riders and angry mobs reportedly set the Tipper ablaze while the deceased persons have been deposited at the Akure Specialist hospital mortuary.
The Hope Metro learnt that the Tipper driver mobilized his members and staged a protest which reportedly paralyzed vehicular movements for several hours before security agencies and the government prevailed and restored normalcy.
Dojumo who led government officials to calm the situation, assured that those who burnt the vehicle would be brought to book as nobody has the right to take laws into their hands.
He stated that investigation into the matter was ongoing as perpetrators would soon be brought to book, just as he appealed to law-abiding citizens to go about their lawful and legitimate businesses unmolested.
He disclosed that the government will not spare anyone who want to cause trouble in the state.
