By Kemi Olatunde
As part of efforts to bring  qualitative healthcare to the door- step of the people of the state,  the Ondo State government is  welcoming private partners willing to lend a helping hand while promising to create an enabling environment for them.

The State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu made this statement  at the commissioning of the upgraded health facility at Oyin Akoko.

Represented by the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, Akeredolu stressed the need for a functional Primary Healthcare system in remote areas of the state, noting that the gap created by lack of adequate funding  has created a new vista of opportunities for philanthropies and private partnership in every sphere of social service delivery.

He commended the philanthropic  gesture of an illustrious son of Oyin Akoko,  Rear Admiral Sanmi Alade(rtd)  who used his resources to upgrade the healthcare facility at Oyin Akoko for  the benefit of the community and it’s environs.

The Governor charged well meaning indigenes and residents of the state to give back to the society from where God has blessed them, saying the gesture is highly rewarding.

He charged Health Workers  and community members to ensure the facility is maintained to encourage the donor and  also to ensure that the  objective of upgrading the facility is achieved.

In his address, the  Oloyin of Oyin Akoko, Oba Lawrence Bamisile appreciated God for blessing Oyin Akoko with God-fearing and loving children such as Rear Admiral Ilesanmi Alade who out of the  love for his root has done so much to make life better for his people.

The Deji of Akure  Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade described the development as very impactfull to the community and it’s environs.

Raising funds to commence the fencing and equiping of the  facility, the donor, Rear Admiral Ilesanmi Alade said he was moved to upgrading the health facility because of the difficulty his people had in accessing quality healthcare which  had resulted in many deaths that could have been prevented.

He reiterated his commitment to doing all within his power to make life better for his people.
