Of married women flinging with younger men

There is something more shameful than stealing, so our mothers would say. Indeed, stealing is shameful and scandalous in the good old days. The recent development in our neighbourhood is beyond stealing and it is one giving residents the hives.

However we can see now that there was something more shameful than stealing, it is the idea of a married woman having a fling with young men that are just a trifle older than their kids.

This kind of incident might have been what our mothers saw then that made them to coin the saying. Indeed such goings-on are scandalous especially to their family members as they become the brunt of cruel jokes in their vicinity.

These women start with clandestine meetings and they think that no one knows what they were doing but little do they know that we are wise to their ways. They treat these younger men as their younger brother in order to throw people off the scent.

Some send these younger men on errands as if they are houseboys. But their closeness, the special ways they touch and look at themselves is giving away the game. Women since the beginning of time are not very good at hiding their feelings. Hence people notice their feelings easily when they are getting their bread buttered and when they are with the one buttering the bread, please pardon my pun.

Extra marital affairs for a  married woman especially in our society is bad enough. But when it is with a younger man, it leaves a sour taste in the mouth. I am sure the husband of such women that might have overlooked the misdemeanor as time goes on would not be able to forgive so easily if it is a younger man “eating from the same pot of soup” with them.

Only fellow men can tell of the crazy things that would be running through the husband’s mind. It’s mind-boggling.

The last one that was discovered was chased out of the house by her husband who works in Lagos as a security expert. For a year now, the house which had been hitherto full of life and excitement is kept under lock and key. It looks currently dismal as it sat empty and gathering dust.

She was kicked out of her matrimonial home and the only child of the marriage was shipped off to a boarding school. Till date, the man has not allowed his wife back despite all entreaties.

Trouble reared it’s ugly head when the husband suspecting the wife had planted security cameras all over the house. However when he was confronted with the scenes of his wife’s sexcapades with a younger chap, he totally lost it.

The numbers of women involved in such acts keeps increasing despite public censure. And residents wonder why a woman would go for a younger man. Does she not feel insulted at being had in such manner? How do they go about it?

The current trend is different from the former pattern of “sugar mummy and toy boy”. How does it even start? Is it the younger men that seek the older women out or is it vice versa?

The dangerous part is that these women would send their young and impressionable daughters to give food to their boyfriends.

Before one can say “bingo”, the men would soon be having their wicked ways with the young daughters who are none the wiser about their mothers’ affairs with “brother”. What a vicious cycle!

The girls are exposed to what they should not have been exposed to due to their mothers’s recklessness.

Another niggling thought is that those women are probably using the younger men they are having affairs with for rituals. The women who engage in such are seen as diabolical. And when neighbours see them, they look at them with eyes full of disbelief and fearful fascination.

Wives warn their husband off them as they are seen as lecherous elements that would suck life and vitality out of any man they encounter.

Indeed, these women are successful in their businesses. Their businesses are growing in leaps and bounds thereby lending credence to the rumours making the rounds that they are having affairs with younger men for diabolical means.

The word of caution is out already. Families are advised to keep their young men in check especially the skirt-chasing ones.
