A book ,”From darkness to light: Journey of life ” written by a retired Permanent Secretary in the Ondo State Civil Service, Pa Jones Oluwole Ogunmusire has been launched to commemorate his 72nd birthday.

The public presentation of the book and birthday held at the Methodist Cathedral, Gbogi QTS, Akure has many dignitaries in attendance including the Governor of the State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Chief Olugbenga Ale and other political office holders.

Also, the Governor of the defunct Western State, Vice Admiral Akin Aduwo, Archbishop of Igbobini, Most Revd Dr.O Fafeyiwa, the State Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, representative of HoS, Ekiti State, Local Government Chairmen, serving and retired Heads of Service, Permanent Secretaries and other top government functionaries, royal fathers and religious leaders among others were in attendance.

The Special Guest of honour of the occasion, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu while unveiling the book, congratulated the Author on his 72nd years on earth and commended him for writing such an inspiring book.

The Governor commended Pa Ogunmusire for his leadership roles in impacting humanity and recommended the book for people, especially civil and public servants.

The Chairman of the Occasion, Mr Fola Aguda described the Author as a role model and devoted Christian who deserved to be celebrated, saying he is a servant leader who has focus and recommended the book for people who aspire to make impacts.

The book reviewer and presenter, Mr Dayo Ogunruku informed that the book is an expression of God’s grace on the Author, encapsulating a man from a humble beginning who has impacted life greatly.

He added that the book which is about 275 pages revealed an unseen hand that piloted the life of a man to success, recommending it for everyone that desired goodness.

The Chief Launcher, Rear Admiral (Rtd) Ilesanmi Alade who was represented by Tunde Ogundare, described the Author as an incorruptible leader who has inspired the generation and laid down an indelible mark, pointing out that the book will equip people, especially the upcoming generation on perseverance, sincerity, God-fearing and other positive and Godly attributes.

Speaking in an interview with The Hope, the celebrant, Pa Jones Ogunmusire said the book is about the totality of his life till date which is an inspiration from God, adding that the message in the book is recommended for all.

Pa Ogunmusire is a native of Ode-Aye and has his career in the State Civil Service, spanning for about 27 years before he retired.

He has served in various capacity after retirement including Commissioner in the State Civil Service Commission, Chairman State Independent National Electoral Commission and Senior Special Assistant to the current governor and currently serving as a Director in Okitipupa Oil Palm PLC.

He is a devoted Christian who is happily married with successful children.
