Ondo State is endowed with arable land, favourable climatic conditions suitable for planting economic, exotic and indigenous trees and for the cultivation of oil palm and other agricultural produce.
Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Princess Oladunni Odu declared this during the signing of a tripartite agreement between the state, Idogun Landowners and Pink Nominee Ltd.
She said the Government of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu would continue to provide the enabling environment for individuals, private and foreign investors who are desirous of investing in the state.
Princess Odu said the 22, 000 hectares of land at Idogun was leased to Pink Nominee Ltd because the Company presented to the state government that it has the financial and technical capabilities to implement successfully the establishment and management of oil palm plantation and other related products for maximum output and providing employment opportunities for youths of Idogun Community.
She charged the company not to renege on all the terms of the agreement and appealed to the Onidogun of Idogun to sensitize his subjects on the terms of agreement of the Documents and the activities of the company on the said land.
She prayed that the signed document would be of mutual benefits to all the parties involved.
Earlier, the Secretary of ONDIPA, Emmanuel Omomowo explained that the Idogun Community Landowners with the intervention of Ose Local Government Administration has released 22,000 hectares of land out of the massive area of land within Idogun Community for Agricultural Land Bank Scheme of the State Government for massive investment in agriculture and agribusiness by high- net- worth individuals and credible private investors.
On his part, the team Leader of Pink Nominee Ltd, Pastor Kole Oluwajana said PINK Nominee Ltd is a fully owned indigenous Company incorporated as a Private Limited Liability Company envisioned to be a leading agriculture investment company, creating future of agribusiness in Africa.
Pastor Oluwajana further stated that the company is desirous of collaborating with the Ondo State Government and the Idogun Landowners by investing in the establishment and management of oil palm plantation by way of promoting agriculture and agribusiness in Ondo State, with a view to enhancing maximum production of agricultural products, create youth employment for the youths of Idogun community and add value to the State economy.
The Onidogun of Idogun Land , HRM Oba Moses Ekundayo Olorunnibe Bakare II thanked the State Government and other Stakeholders for facilitating the project to his community.
