Okada rider dies in lone accident

An unidentified man had reportedly died in a lone accident that occurred in Osogbo.
The Hope Metro gathered that the accident, which involved a motorcycle, happened around 6:50 am around Osogbo-Ikirun road, Lameco roundabout in Osogbo.
The crash, according to the Sector Public Education Officer for Osun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Agnes Ogungbemi, might have been caused by speed violation.
She said that the phone of the deceased and the motorcycle involved in the crash was brought to the FRSC base in Osun State.
“Phone and the motorcycle involved in the crash was brought to base while the corpse was deposited at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital mortuary,” she said.
In a related incident, two women had been reportedly dead when the taxi conveying them rammed into the rear of a broken down truck carrying explosive materials on Abeokuta-Kobape-Sagamu Expressway.
The accident which occurred around 5.45am, also left three men with grave injuries.
Spokesman of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, who confirmed the accident and casualties, attributed the crash to reckless driving and poor visibility.
