Okitipupa LG boss pledges sustainable development, improved welfare

The Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Hon. Andrew Ogunsakin, has assured residents of sustainable development in the area.
He stated this during an environmental cleanup campaign at the council secretariat.
Ogunsakin, while affirming that his administration is committed to sustainable development, noted that the cleanup exercise is just the beginning of broader efforts aimed at enhances infrastructure development and promoting community well-being.
“Our goal is to create a more livable environment for the people of Okitipupa. A clean community is a reflection of progress, and we will continue to implement initiatives that drive positive change.”
“As the local government area continues to benefit from the interventions, my leadership will set a new standard for governance, with the hope that ongoing projects will further boost economic and social development in Okitipupa.”
Speaking with our correspondent, a local trader, Mr. Tunde Adebayo praised the chairman’s initiative.
“This is the kind of leadership we need. Hon. Ogunsakin’s efforts have given Okitipupa a fresh look, and we are proud of the improvements.”
“Public spaces, once overtaken by weeds and refuse, have been rejuvenated, creating a more conducive environment for both residents and visitors.”
Okitipupa Local Government area of Ondo State has now witnessed a remarkable transformation under the leadership of its chairman,” he said.
In a related development, Ogunsakin, promised to prioritise the welfare of workers in the area.
He made this known while receiving a delegation from the State Local Government Service Commission at the council secretariat .
The council boss, while appreciating the commission for its commitment to the development of local government administration, pledged to prioritise the welfare of workers.
He further assured that necessary steps would be taken to address concerns raised towards ensuring a conducive working environment for staff.
“I assure the workers that necessary actions will be taken to address all concerns regarding their welfare, and a conducive working environment will also be provided.”
In his reaction, the delegation, led by the chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Femi Idris, promised to collaborate with the local government leadership to enhance infrastructure and improve service delivery.
According to him, “During this meeting, discussions centred on critical issues affecting local government staff, particularly their welfare and working conditions.”
“This visit marks a significant step in fostering a stronger relationship between the local government and the commission, aimed at enhancing efficiency and productivity in the local government system,” he said.
