Okitipupa LG gets ICT from NGO

By Victor Akinkuolie, Ode-Irele

As part of efforts to enhance administrative work and foster greater collaboration with relevant stakeholders, the Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government area of Ondo State, Mr Andrew Ogunsakin, has received a donation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) facilities.

The donated items included sets of laptop computers, printers, scanning machines, and several boxes of A4 paper, among other equipment aimed at improving administrative efficiency and digital capacity within the secretariat.

The donation was made by an Okitipupa-based non-governmental organisation (NGO).

The event was witnessed by councillors, political appointees, staff of the local government, and officials of the foundation, among others.

Receiving the materials at a brief ceremony held at the Okitipupa Local Government Secretariat, the chairman noted that the donation was part of the collaborative efforts between his administration and other relevant stakeholders within the local government.

While appreciating the donor, the council chairman said the gesture aligned with the strategic engagements initiated by his administration to encourage partnerships with key stakeholders and private organisations for improved functionality at the grassroots level.

The visibly elated chairman expressed deep gratitude to the donor for the kind gesture and pledged that the facilities would be put to effective use in the interest of the people of the local government.

He further assured the organisation of his continued support and reaffirmed the commitment of the current administration in Ondo State to creating a more conducive environment for commercial activities and private enterprises to thrive.

Ogunsakin also emphasised the importance of sustained synergy between government and the private sector as a pathway to sustainable development.
