Olokunbobade family holds reunion

It was a happy reunion for the Olokunbobade descendants in Owo as they came together recently to felicitate and rub minds on the progress of the family members.
The Oniyere of Iyere kingdom, Oba Omotunde Adako who is also a prominent son of the family during the meeting which was held at their ancestral home in Owo said it was long overdue.
He thanked God, saying all the children of Olokunbobade both at home and in diaspora came together to share ideas that would be beneficial to the family at large.
The Oba advised youths in the family to be disciplined, respectful and hardworking in order to achieve success in their future endeavours.
He also lauded the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his selfless service to the state and massive infrastructural programmes that cut across the entire state.
Head of Olokunbobade, High Chief Yusuf Oladele also charged the entire family members to show peace and love among themselves. He said that the meeting, was aimed at achieving a common goal towards extending their individual wealth of experience to other members of the family.
During the meeting, salient issues were discussed among members of the family on how those who have made a mark in their chosen careers could be of help to the younger ones.
High Chief Oladele thanked God for the effort of the organizers, particularly the youth in the family, urging them to love one another and eschew act capable of destroying the aged long virtues of their forefathers.
Dignitaries at the reunion included; Dr Niran Okunrinboye, Customary Court President in Owo, Mr Idowu Olatunre, Special Adviser to the Governor on Electronic Media, Mr Dapo Aruwajoye among others.
