The Olowo of Owo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, has reaffirmed his full support for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), in its campaign to promote road safety and reduce accidents in Owo and its environs.
The royal endorsement came during a courtesy visit to the palace by the FRSC Owo Unit Commander, Mr. J.K. Ajayi.
While welcoming the Unit Commander, Oba Ogunoye congratulated him on his recent posting to Owo and praised the Corps for its unwavering commitment to saving lives through continuous public enlightenment and enforcement of traffic regulations.
The monarch emphasised that road safety is a collective responsibility, assuring the FRSC of the cooperation of the people of Owo in achieving safer roads.
In his remarks, Mr. Ajayi expressed gratitude for the warm reception and sought the Olowo’s blessings for the ongoing campaign.
He solicited the active support of residents in fostering safer road conditions across the kingdom.
The Unit Commander reiterated the FRSC’s commitment to minimising road accidents and enforcing traffic discipline through sustained awareness campaigns and strict enforcement measures.
