The Olowo of Owo, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Ogunoye, on behalf of all the people of Owo, has congratulated Dr Olayide Adelami,  on his nomination as the Deputy Governor of the State by the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Oba Ogunoye, in his felicitation signed and released by his Special Assistant Media, Sam Adewale, said that the news of the appointment got to him and the entire kingdom with utmost pleasure and satisfaction.

The Olowo disclosed that the import of identifying with Adelami who also holds a chieftaincy title of Amuwagboye of Owo Kingdom for the exalted office by the Governor, is a confirmation of the qualities inherent in the new Deputy Governor and the attestation to the fact that Owo as a Kingdom, boasts of many indigenes that are competent, qualified and readily available for leadership positions in any field of human endeavour.

While praying for the success of the new administration, the monarch expressed his gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the consideration and honour extended to the Kingdom over the appointment.

Oba Ogunoye declared that he is confident and has the firm belief that Dr Adelami will serve with the fear of God, due diligence and absolute adherence to the tenets of good governance which Owo is known for.

He also congratulated the good people of Owo and prayed that more of their sons and daughters will be identified for leadership positions in the state, and by the Federal Government.
