The National Orientation Agency, NOA, has been commended for its commitment to true nationalism.
The Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, who urged the agency not to relent in its efforts, stated this while playing host to members of the Ondo State Directorate of the agency who were in his palace on a courtesy call.
Oba Ogunoye who was responding to the delegation’s request for assistance in the propagation of the Agency’s message of peaceful co-existence in the kingdom, said the message was a welcome development .
The Olowo while informing them of the commitment of Owo Kingdom to peaceful co-existence, disclosed that, the entire Owo Land has never been found wanting in this regard.
In her speech, Mrs Adelayo Adefolalu, who led the delegation to the palace, commended Oba Ogunoye for his leadership role in assisting the Agency in sensitizing the people on the need to live peacefully with one another.
Adelayo said the difference in ethnicity, culture, dialects and gender should not in any way form hindrance in living peacefully,saying where there is lack of peace, there would be retardation of development.
