Olowo suggests way out of current challenges

It is high time Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, religion, political and social divide, convene a round table dialogue on the current challenges facing the nation as this remains the only antidote for a way out as it pave way for understanding of the various problems and collectively find solutions to them.
The Olowo of Owo Oba, Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, gave this position on Monday while playing host to the participants of Senior Course 43 of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos who paid him a visit in his palace at Owo.
Oba Ogunoye who said he believes in one Nigeria called for peace, progress and development to be the watchword of every concerned inhabitants.
The Olowo who welcomed the visitors to the ancient kingdom described Owo as a land of peace and honour where culture, tradition and festivals remain the pride of the people.
The participants who were on Study Tour, with the Theme: Getting Things Done; Strategies for Policy and Programme Implementation In Nigeria, was led by the Director of Studies of the Institute, Prof. Funmi Para-Mallam mni, were in the palace as part of their study tour of Ondo State.
Speaking during the visit, the leader of the team, Professor Para- Mallam congratulated Oba Ogunoye on his accession to the throne of his forefathers without rancour.
She said it was worthy to pay a visit to the palace considering the important roles and position of traditional rulers in the country.
The Director said all along, since the establishment of the Institute, various challenges confronting the nation had always been in the front burner with outright solutions just the present situation which also need solutions hence, the study tour.
Para- Mallam, appreciated the warm reception accorded the team saying, the experience acquired from the study tour would linger for a long time in the minds of every participant.
