Following the announcement of the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Tuesday, that he has tested positive to corona virus, the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, has wished him a speedy recovery even as he commended the governor for the courage and statesmanship with which he demonstrated by personally disclosing his Covid-19 status.
Oba Ogunoye in a press release signed and made available to The Hope by his Special Assistant on Media, Samuel Adewale disclosed that he, the Olowo royal family and the good people of Owo have commenced intensive prayers for his (governor) quick recovery.
The monarch disclosed that, corona virus is not a death sentence, he equally wants to assure the people of the State with those from afar and near that there is no cause for alarm as the amiable governor would soon be back to his desk.
The Olowo used the opportunity to re-awaken the consciousness of the people of the state to the fact that corona virus is real therefore, they must follow the safety measures in their respective places and stay safe.
