Olowo’s mother for burial

All roads lead to the ancient town of Owo as the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye commences her mother’s burial rites today.
Reports from the town observed the influx of sympathisers and well wishers who had thronged the town to solidarise with the monarch in giving a befitting burial to the king’s mother.
Yeyesa, Olori Comfort Adenike Ogunoye passed on December 6, 2020 at 96 years.
Funeral rites of the Olori begin with Ajabue, the traditional dance round the town by her children, friends during which the cultural burial rites of the town will be show cased.
On Friday April 9, the Christian wake and lying in state will take place at her residence, adjacent Divine Glorious Church, Idashen at 4 p.m.
The funeral service will take place at the New Church Cathedral, Fajuyi road, Owo at 10 a.m. while reception holds at Imade College Owo.
