Olu of Igodan-Lisa-Elect lauds Akeredolu’s giant strides

The new Olu of Igodan-Lisa-elect, Oba Adetuwo Olusegun Joseph, has commended the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and others who played key roles during the turbulent period of the obaship tussle in the community.
The Olu of Igodan- lisa elect, said his monarchical calling is divine.
He added: “Though, the journey faced many challenges like every other good thing, it took the intervention of God Almighty and the State Government through the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs led by the Commissioner, Mr Akin Sowore.”
The clergy man turned monarch stated this while speaking with newsmen at his Palace in Igodan-Lisa, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.
He explained that several prophecies came for him through great men of God, that he would be a successor to the Late monarch, Pa Paul Akinsola who died two years ago.
“Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, is my father. I can never be an ingrate to him. I am his son. No amount of intimidation from any quarter can cut short my relationship with the present administration in Ondo State.
“Both Ondo State Government, the Council of Obas, my people, home and abroad really stood by me. Your contributions can never be weighed with any scale.”
Although, there were several tribulations, catastrophe spiritually and physically but I hold to my faith since it’s a divine agenda, I fear not”. Oba Adetuwo said.
He commended the wife of Ondo State Governor, Chief Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu for her contribution towards the good governance of the present administration of Arakunrin.
The Olu elect also commended the degree at which the Office of the First Lady has being contributing towards the well-being of girl child, women’s cares through proactive measures, being the voice of the voiceless and above all, her fight against Gender Based Violence, GBV.
He noted that posterity and history would never forget some of her human capital development projects and other life enhancing programmes such as the annual BEMORE BOOTCAMP, Forum of Wives of Ondo State Official, FOWOSO and identified Mrs Akeredolu’s activities as antidotes to all forms of societal infractions.
The monarch urged residents and people of the ancient town of Igodan-Lisa home and in diaspora to support his traditional administration for better socioeconomic drive of the community in general, and promised to use his wealth of experience alongside his resources to bring development that would pave way for economic growth and advancement within his jurisdiction as soon as the State Government gives him the Staff of Office.
