The former Deputy Governor of Ondo State and leading aspirant for the APC Chairmanship in the state, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, has praised the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate for 2027 by the Progressive Governors Forum and other key party stakeholders.

Speaking with journalists on current national issues, Oluboyo described the endorsement as a “vote of confidence” in Tinubu’s leadership and a strong indication of the country’s path toward sustainable growth and development.

He hailed President Tinubu’s administration as one of the best in Nigeria’s history, citing the payment of national debts, long-term policy direction, and tax reforms as evidence of sound economic management. According to Oluboyo, these actions are setting the stage for broad-based prosperity across the nation.

The APC chieftain also called on the president to consider reintroducing price control mechanisms to curb the surging costs of goods and services.

He emphasised the need for government palliatives to reach grassroots communities to ensure that the dividends of democracy are widely felt.

Commending the efforts of security agencies, Oluboyo urged them to intensify their operations to eliminate lingering security threats across the country.

On the state level, Oluboyo lauded Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for what he described as “remarkable leadership” since taking office.

He pointed to initiatives such as the recruitment of teachers and civil servants, as well as extensive infrastructure development, especially in road construction, as signs of responsive governance.

He called on all Nigerians to rally behind President Tinubu’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria and encouraged residents of Ondo State to maintain their loyalty and support for Governor Aiyedatiwa to further elevate development across the state.
