It was a moment of fun and excitement as dignitaries from all walks of life gathered to witness the first installation ceremony of newly installed chiefs who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavor. The ceremony took place at the palace of Olujigba of Ijigba, His Royal Highness, Oba Amb. Rev.Luyi Rotimi, in Akure South local government area of Ondo state. The monarch bestowed the chieftaincy titles on the chiefs considering their meaningful contributions to the development of the ancient town. He urge the newly installed chiefs to see their new positions as an opportunity to do more for the people around them and transform the community .
One of new chiefs, the Elemo of Ijigba kingdom, High Chief, Ilesanmi Sunday, appreciated God Almighty the giver of life who chose him to serve the poeple of the kingdom , saying this was his happiest moment since birth.
He said, his leadership acumen won him the title and promised to contribute more to the development of the kingdom.

He promised to cooperate with the monarch and the community so as to allow the existing peace to continue, he added
Also, Eyelobinrin of Ijigba kingdom, Olori Stella Kofoworola Otokiti Oluwatuyi, expressed happiness for the honour, saying that it is not easy to lead the women, but trusting God for help.
She thanked the monarch, her family, friends and loved ones for their support and promised not to betray the confidence reposed in her position.
The Eyelobinrin promised the various women associations to cooperate with her so as to lift the community to an enviable height.

On her own, Iyalaje of Ijigba kingdom, Chief Mrs. Comfort Dupe Olosu, thanked God for the honour bestowed on her by the Olujigba considering the level of contributions she had made in the kingdom over the years.
The elated woman, promised to cooperate with the monarch and advised other chiefs to comply with the rules guiding the community.
She appealed to every son and daughter of the kingdom to support and cooperate with the monarch so as to allow the existing peace in the community to continue
Expressing his gratitude, the Atunluse of Ijigba kingdom, Hon. Frank Olatunji Menukuro, said he felt excited by the opportunity to serve the community, for a very long time, I have been part of the developmental drive of the kingdom and we will continue”.
Menukuro, said his installation was well deserved considering his contributions and promised not to relent in bringing more developments from both the state and federal levels for the community’s advancement .
