Oluwatuyi: Ondo Assembly commiserates with late SSG’s family

The Ondo State House of Assembly has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Temitayo Oluwatuyi, who served as the Secretary to the State Government, following his passing.
The Speaker, Chief Olamide Oladiji, who led members of the Assembly to the residence of the deceased in Akure, noted that the 10th Assembly received the sad news with shock.
He remarked that the renowned politician would be greatly missed by the people of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.
Oladiji stated that the late Oluwatuyi lived a fulfilled life and rendered unparalleled service to humanity among the political elite.
He urged the family to find solace in the knowledge that life is not measured by its duration but by the legacies left behind.
The Speaker emphasised that Nigerians had lost a great leader not only for his administrative contributions but also for his philanthropic impact on many lives.
According to him, the late Secretary to the State Government was an easy-going and experienced politician who had made significant contributions to the development of Ondo State, having served in various capacities.
While consoling the wife of the late Oluwatuyi, the Speaker assured her that the lawmakers would keep the family in their prayers at all times.
Other lawmakers described the deceased as an astute politician who wielded great influence among his people and political associates.
Responding on behalf of the family, Mr Yomi Okoro appreciated the lawmakers for sharing in their moment of grief.
He also solicited their continued prayers for those left behind.
The condolence register was subsequently signed.
Among the lawmakers who accompanied the Speaker were the House Majority Leader, Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi; the House Minority Leader, Olajide Oguntodu; and the Deputy Minority Leader, Raymond Daodu.
Others included Kolawole Ologede, Tunji Ifabiyi, Dr Christopher Ogunlana, Oluwarotimi Abitogun, and Tope Agbulu.
The late Secretary to the State Government, who hailed from Akure South, passed away on Friday, 4th January 2025.
