Ondo 2024: Kekemeke declares intention

One of the leading gubernatorial aspirants in Ondo State under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr. Isaacs Kekemeke has said his aspiration to run for the state governorship seat is not out of mere pleasure or momentary impulse but out of divine inspiration to create a better and greater Ondo State.
Addressing members of the pen profession at the NUJ Press Centre, Adegbemile during the public presentation of the Lekeleke Agenda of prosperity and peace for Ondo State today, Kekemeke said his sole aim is to make government seeable, touchable and feelable so much so that the pain of one will be the pain of all.
Kekemeke who said he will deploy government power to wage war against hunger, poverty, unemployment, insecurity and decayed basic infrastructure noted further that Ondo State has remained politically challenged thus the need to bring in an experienced captain that can steer governance in the right direction.
According to him, Ondo State needs a leadership that can sufficiently understand the philosophy of the present federal government and its Renewed Hope programme for effective partnership and collaboration and a leadership that will uphold the tenets and ideals of good governance bequeathed by Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
While declaring his intention to run for Ondo State governorship seat under his party, the APC, Kekemeke said his antecedents and pedigree recommends him for the position.
Some of the codified programmes reeled out under the Lekeleke Agenda include ensuring industrial take off of Ondo State through prioritized investment in human and natural endowment, offering free and compulsory primary education, free secondary school education and subsidized tertiary education as well as running of quality health services for all and ensuring food security, employment among others in the state,
“The Ondo State of my dream is one where we make business and create jobs for our teeming youths out of every of our natural resources; one where no one needs to see or know the Governor or anyone in government to feel the impact” he further stressed.
