Ondo 2024: We’ll not underrate other parties —Aiyedatiwa

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC), will not underrate candidates of other political parties in the upcoming gubernatorial election scheduled for November 16, 2024.

He made the assertion on Sunday, where supporters and well-wishers gathered to celebrate his victory at the APC Primary election last month.

Aiyedatiwa, who could not hide his joy, attributed all glory to God through songs of thanksgiving.

He also expressed gratitude to the party leaders for their unwavering support, and extended appreciation to the organizers of the event.

The governor said, “once again, I extend my appreciation to all my supporters. Your dedication and proactive efforts have been invaluable. However, let’s remember, this is merely the beginning. There’s still much ground to cover, and significant challenges lie ahead. The primary election was just the initial phase, merely an in-house contest. We must remain steadfast and continue our journey towards our ultimate goal.”

Representing the State Executive Council, Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Wale Akinlosotu, emphasised that the Governor’s accomplishments warrant celebration.

He emphasised the unity of the APC, describing it as one big family, and urged everyone to unite for the success of the party in the November 16 election.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of SUBEB, Victor Olabimtan, said, “You’re a product of Mercy, and I am confident that we will achieve unprecedented success on November 16. All contestants in the primary election are deserving winners, as we are all part of the same unified family.”

Chairperson, Organizing Committee, Mrs. Bukola Tenabe and the Deputy State Chairman of the APC, Chief Atili Agabra, stated that the event was to honour the Governor for his deserving victory at the primary and to express gratitude to his supporters.

Present at the event were the Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas and Deji of Akure, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, members of the State Executive Council, members of the State House of Assembly.
