The Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Ondo State has thrown its weight behind the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 16, 2019 general elections.
The party assured that it will mobilise voters to cast their votes for Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election.
The State Chairman of the ACPN, Chief Afolabi Babalola, gave the assurance in an interview with The Hope in Akure, on Tuesday.
He assured that members of ACPN in Ondo state will support the re-election of Buhari due to the withdrawal of the Presidential Candidate of the party, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili from the presidential race.
Though, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rejected her withdrawal from the race, but the party has resolved to support the re-election of Buhari and his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
His words” In the coming presidential election, we will cast our votes for Buhari for him to be reelected because of the withdrawal of our presidential candidate from the election.
“Instead for the party members not to vote during the election, we have unanimously agreed to vote for Buhari”
