Ondo Amotekun begins recruitment

As part of efforts to tackle rising cases of kidnapping and other crimes, the Ondo state government has approved recruitment into the state Security Network codenamed “Amotekun Corps.”
The approval for the recruitment of more men into the outfit was contained in a memo signed by Secretary of the Security outfit, Mr Lanre Amuda, on behalf of the State Amotekun Commander, Mr Adetunji Adeleye.
The recruitment is the second batch since the establishment of the security outfit in 2020.
The recruitment is geared towards beefing up the operations of the security outfit in fulfilment of its mandate.
The Commander, Amotekun Corps, Mr Adetunji Adeleye reiterated that the recruitment exercise is absolutely free of charge and without any pecuniary obligations.
He said interested applicants are expected to obtain the application form from the Agency’s web site www.ondoamotekun.org.ng as completed forms with relevant attestations and photo copies of credentials are to be submitted by hand where screening would be conducted.
The categories of officers to be recruited included regular officers, intelligence corps and volunteers.
The memo stated that “interested and suitable applicants must be from age 20 to 70 years while they must possess at least, the first school leaving certificate.
“The applicants must also be medically and psychologically balanced with good character and good working knowledge of their immediate localities.
