The All Progressives Congress , APC, in Ondo State, has expressed confidence in the new Acting National Chairman and the Acting Secretary of the party, Senator Abubakar Kyari and Mr. Festus Fuanter respectively to stabilize the political space of the ruling party.
The State Director Media and Publicity of the party, Mr. Steve Otaloro, in an interview with The Hope, said their capacity to lead the party well was not in doubt, noting that they are competent people who have been part and parcel of the party.
Otaloro who explained that the party in the state strongly believes in them said the party expects them to accelerate development
and the desired direction.
The Acting National Chairman had announced the resignation of the former National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and the Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore during a meeting of the National Working Committee of the party in Abuja.
According to Otaloro “It is a continuity and they are not just coming into the saddle, All we expect them is what they have collectively been doing to accelerate development and desired direction.
“In the last general elections, it was realized that there are some states needed to be reconciled and hopefully they will continue in that direction.
” We strongly believe in them and we will work with them,”
Otaloro said the issue that the former national secretary has not resigned before his replacement was announced by the acting chairman cannot cause legal wrangling.
He posited that his (Omisore’s ) lawyer might have advised him in contrary as Omisore does not need the concept of his lawyer before he tendered his resignation.
He, therefore, pointed out that the party went by the letter of resignation read by Kyari that Omisore had resigned.
