Ondo APC hails appeal judgement on Oyetola
By Jubril Bada &Mary Agidi
The All Progressives Congress Party Chairman in Ondo state, Mr. Ade Adetimehin has described the victory of Osun state governor, Gboyega Oyetola at the Appeal court as the beauty of democracy.
He noted that the judgement is a vindication by the judicial umpire that the election was free and fair.
Adetimehin expressed optimism that governor Oyetola can now start fully to implement his electioneering promises to Osun people without fear.
He added that the judgement would definitely put to rest the political anxiety in Osun state and the falsehood of the opposition party that they actually won the election.
“We want to appeal to the People’s Democratic Party to take it in a sportsman spirit. They should wait for the next four years, it could be their turn.
“They should cooperate with the man that God has chosen to lead the people of Osun for the betterment of the people.
“Whatever advice they have, they should give it to him”, he counseled.
Also reacting to the victory, Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Mobilisation and Political Matters, Mr. Olatunji lfabiyi described the Appeal Court judgement as a victory for democracy.
Ifabiyi described the judgment as a welcome development for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to have been vindicated by the Court of Appeal .
He said the judgement was an indication that the party recorded genuine victory in the governorship election held last year in Osun State.
The special adviser, therefore, appreciated the erudite and legal scholars of the Court of Appeal for the delivery of the judgement.
