Ondo APC loses chieftain

Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has lost one of its chieftains, Chief Reuben Animola.
This was contained in a statement made available to The Hope in Akure on Thursday by the party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Steve Otaloro.
He said that the late chieftain who was the Atunluse of Afo in Ose Local Government area died at the early hours of Wednesday at the age of 90.
Animola, according to him was a devoted member of the party, astute community leader and Supervisory Councilor in the old Owo Local Government under the chairmanship of late Michael Adekunle Ajasin.
Otaloro said in the statement, “he was Social Democratic Party Chairman in Ose Local Government area and later served as Adviser in the council”
Also, immediate past Special Adviser to the State Governor on Mobilization and Political Matters, Mr. Victor Olabimtan, said the party has lost a rare gem in ‘Baba Animola’ as a voice of reasoning and an epitome of evolution of progressive party politics in Western Nigeria.
Olabimtan in his condolence message to the leaders and members of the party in the North Senatorial District, said APC has lost a rare gem in Baba Animola, as a voice of reasoning.
