Ondo Assembly commends Owena
Press over improved contents

The Ondo State House of Assembly has commended the leadership of Owena Press Limited, publisher of The Hope titles on the improvement in the quality and contents of the newspaper.

The house also lauded the infrastructural development at the company’s premises and the sustainability of the newspaper on the news stand.

They assured the Management of their continued support in enhancing the capacity of the company.

The Chairman, House Committee on Information, Youth and Sports Development, Akogun Olugbenga Omole gave the commendation during the Committee’s oversight visit to the company.

Omole affirmed that the newspaper is a mirror of the society and an  image of the State, assuring that the legislature would continue to collaborate with the Management in the quick execution of policies that would further transform the company.

“We are proud of what Owena Press is doing through The Hope newspaper. Your presence on the social media is well felt and that has given you a mileage, as we are now in global village. Also, your weekend edition is a delight to read’. 

The Committee thanked the Management of the company for their cooperation and support towards achieving the set goal.

Members acknowledged the importance of the company in information dissemination in the State and beyond and the tenacity and resolve of the Management to make it better,” he stated.

While welcoming the legislators, the Chairman/Editor in Chief of Owena Press, Sir Ademola Adetula who applauded the leadership quality of the Committee Chairman said he has been an inspiration to the company in his official transactions.

Adetula solicited for the House intervention in the procurement of modern press for the company.

He assured that the company will not rest on its oars at bringing information to the doorsteps of the masses.
