The All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo State again showed its political stamina during the last Saturday House of Assembly election as it won 22 out of 26 seats.
The party also made history with the emergence of three female members-elect with one representing each senatorial district across the state
The opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP won the remaining four seats.
The party had during the Presidential and National Assembly elections recorded a landslide victory in the State as it swept the three Senatorial seats and eight out of the nine seats in the House of Representatives, leaving the remaining one for the PDP.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, APC House of Assembly-elects are Princess Tosin Ogunlowo Ajirotutu, Idanre, Chris Ayebusiwa, Okitipupa 1, Ololade Gbegudu, Okitipupa 2, Olatunji Ifabiyi, Odigbo 1, Stephen Abitogun, Akure 2, Temitope Akokolafe, Ifedore, Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, Owo1, Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju Ondo West 1, Dr. Christopher Ogunlana, Irele.
Others are: Oladiji Olamide, Ondo East, Prince Abayomi Akinruntan, Ilaje1 Mrs Morenike Witherspoon, Owo 2, Oladapo John Biola, Ondo West 2, Messiah Allen, Ese-Odo, Oluwarotimi Fasonu, Odigbo 2, Oshatti Olatunji Emmanuel, Ose, Murtala Suleiman, Akoko South East, Fatai Tiamiyu, Akoko North West 1, Victor Japhet, Akoko North East, Olawunmi Fayemi , Ilaje 2 and Kolawole Ologede, Akure North
PDP House of Assembly-elects are: Adeolu Adeniran, Akure 1. Oluwatoyin Daodu, Akoko South West 1, Tope Agbulu, Akoko South West 2 and Felix Afe, Akoko North West 2
However, four incumbent lawmakers suffered defeat in the polls described as peaceful.
They are Tomide Akinrinbido,Ondo West ! (PDP), Favour Tomomewo Ilaje 2, ADC, Taofeeq Muhammed APC, Akoko North West 2 and Toluwani Borokini APC Akure South.
Ondo State Deputy Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa while casting his vote at Ugbo Ward 4 Unit 05 in his Obenla hometown, Ilaje Local Government, Constituency 1 commended the peaceful conduct of the election.
Owo Constituency II lawmaker-elect, Morenike Whiterspoon thanked the people of the constituency for giving her their mandate to serve them and promised quality representation during her tenure in the lawmaking chamber.
In his post-victory message, APC House of Assembly-elect from Ose, Olatunji Oshati Emmanuel promised to run an all-inclusive representation that ‘ll better the lots of the constituency.
Oshati also thanked the people for giving him their votes.
The Lawmaker-elect from Odigbo constituency 1, Olatunji Fabiyi promised to keep to his campaign promises.
