Athletes representing Ondo State at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Abuja have won four more medals, thereby increasing the states medal haul to nine.

The medals are one gold, one silver and two bronze.

Olayinka overcame her opponent in Judo to win the third gold for the state.

The pair of Taiwo Fagbamila and Taiwo Mati clinched silver in Men Table Tennis event.

Murtala Fatai and Akina Kpilibor were bronze medal winners in Judo and 200 meters Freestyle Women Swimming event respectively.Meanwhile the chances of Ondo State winning another gold medal at the ongoing National Sports Festival were boosted  by the Male Volley Ball Team, which beat their Plateau State counterparts.

The Ondo State boys won the game by 3-1 sets.

Plateau won the first set by 25-20 points.

The next three sets ended 25-18, 25-17 and 25-15 in favour of the Ondo Male team to book their place in the semi final stage.
