A Christian cleric, Pastor Gabriel Agbaje, who heads the Christ Apostolic Church, Oluwadamilare Aje Quarters, Okeagbe-Akoko, has called on parents to prioritize their children’s education to secure their future.

Speaking during  his Sunday sermon at the church in Okeagbe-Akoko, Pastor Agbaje emphasized the importance of education in securing employment opportunities.

“He said, arents must see education as a long-term investment in their children’s future. An educated child stands a better chance of gaining employment at any time with the right qualifications,” he said.

The cleric also commended Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for clearing the backlog of gratuities owed to retired government workers in the state.

According to him, the gesture would go a long way in alleviating the suffering of senior citizens who dedicated their years to public service.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa deserves praise for fulfilling his promise to our retired workers. The payment of their gratuities will bring relief to these senior citizens who served the government diligently when they were active and strong,” Agbaje stated.

He further urged the government to continue prioritizing workers’ welfare, noting that timely payment of pensions and gratuities would enhance the well-being of retirees and boost public trust in the system.
