Ondo contingent ready for National Sports Festival — OSSC GM

The General Manager, Ondo State Sports council (OSSC), Mr Henry Omoyele Babatunde has said the state contingent will meet up with all the guidelines reeled out for the National Sports Festival (NSF)slated for Edo state by the Local Organising Committee.
The General Manager, in a chat with the Sporting Hope said efforts were in too gear to ensure the athletes and their officials conduct their COVID – 19 test 72 hours before the commencement of the national fiesta. He added that the contingent will also be vaccinated before the week runs out.
“We are doing everything possible to ensure we fully participate in the games.”
The National Sports Festival tagged: Edo 2020 had suffered several postponements in the past, the current situation around the festival seems to be positive that the April date will be visible and realistic.
Babatunde also disclosed that five days close camp would be open next week for the athletes, saying all arrangements have been put in place to have a smooth participation.
He said: “this year’s festival is a peculiar one, that no one can specifically say what the performance of the athletes would be, because the games had been postponed severally ,which he said lowered the morale of the athletes.
“We are only trying to motivate and encourage them for optimum performance, despite all these ,we are very hopeful that our athletes will do well at the national fiesta.”
