Ondo CP meets local hunters, security groups to tackle crime

In a bid to strengthen security in Ondo State, the Commissioner of Police, Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, has met with local hunters and other community-based security groups in Akure and its environs.
The meeting, held at the Police Officers’ Mess in Akure, focused on enhancing collaboration between the police and local security outfits to combat crime across the state.

Representatives of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS), local hunters, vigilante groups, and other security organisations were present.
Speaking at the meeting, Afolabi stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure the safety of lives and property.
The stakeholders pledged their commitment to working closely with the police to rid the state of criminal activities.
The Ondo State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order, assuring residents of its readiness to tackle crime through collaborative efforts.
